Mrs. Emma Schone, nee Atterbury, wife of John Schone, at their residence one and a half miles south of Tallula, on Tuesday, March 4th. Two or three days previous to her death, she gave birth to a child which was dead and she failed to regain strength afterwards. Funeral services took place at her home, the residence of John E. Ackermann, at 2 p.m. , after which the remains were followed to Oak Leaf cemetery at Tallula, by a crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends. She was fully prepared to go to meet her dear little children which had gone before, and her last words to her family were "meet me in heaven." She leaves a husband and four children and another and six sisters to mourn her loss. She was the mother of eight children; four had gone before and four survive her death. Deceased was a step-daughter of John E. Ackermann. She was 35 years old, 8 months and 13 days old at her death.
