ARCADIA CEMETERY
Arcadia, Morgan County, Illinois

Cemetery History
New Lexington, now Arcadia Cemetery, became a cemetery around the fall of 1827, on land which belonged to Thomas Dinwiddie. During that
fall, he buried a small child of his here and planted a Weeping Willow tree at the head of the baby's grave. This cemetery
is still active and very well maintained.
Our thanks to Kellie Robinson for retyping the Arcadia transcription
for inclusion here. The original reading used to create this list was completed by Mrs. Ruth Ann Stewart and Sharon Adcock Stewart during the mid 1980s.
