Samuel E. Bull, formerly of near Franklin, died Monday morning at the home of his son, Buell Bull in Springfield.

Deceased was born on a farm in the Hartland community south of Franklin, Dec. 17, 1870, the son of Solomon and Elizabeth Seymour Bull. His wife died several years ago.

He is survived by five sons, Buell and Lyndell Bull of Springfield, Millard and Samuel Bull, Jr., of Alton, and Irl Bull, of Waco, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Eula Elliott, of Hastings, Neb., and Mrs. Kathryn Esterlein, of Edwardsville; 25 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Henry Spencer, of Jacksonville, officiating.

Burial was in the Bull cemetery, southwest of Waverly.
