GRAY, VIRGIL

VIRGIL GRAY

Funeral services were held Saturday for Virgil Gray, 77, of R.R. 1, Girard. He died Wednesday, August 3, at his home.

Mr. Gray, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 8, 1900 near Waverly, a son of Albert and Maggie White Gray. He married Rosella Martin in 1919 and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Earl of Franklin, and Alfred of Girard; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Inman of Murrayville; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Services were held at Neece Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Jack Brown, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Waverly officiating.

Burial was in Bull Cemetery near the old Hartland community southwest of Waverly.

Pall bearers were David Seiz, Calvin Miller, Jim Wilson, Morris Gray, Larry Gray and Donny Inman.
