George Henry Meier

George Henry Meier, aged 76, a life long resident of Morgan county died at 6:00 o'clock Tuesday morning, November 25, at the home of his son, Melvin, three miles west of Waverly.

Mr. Meier was born in Morgan County on January 9, 1871. He is survived by his son; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Hartland Baptist church, on Thanksgiving day, at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. W. A. Ogden, pastor of the Waverly Baptist church.

Music was furnished by mr. and Mrs. Otho Cherry, with Mrs. Lawrence Smith at the piano.

The pall bearers were Vernie Hart, Merrill Berryman, Denzil Feely, Harry Edwards, William Hicks and Earl Dugger.

The floral offerings were cared for by Retha Hart, Ruth Hicks, and Garnetta Miner. Burial was in Bull cemetery.
