Ada Louanna Seymour
Palmyra - Ada Louanna Fairburn Seymour, 101, of Palmyra, died Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 1995, at Carlinville Area Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1894, in Morgan County, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Gregory Fairburn. She married Galen Robin Seymour. He preceded her in death in 1967.
She is survived by one son, Walter Howard Seymour of Palmyra; two daughters, irene Dowland of Scottville and Mary Ball of modesto; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Betty Butler, Virginia Jones and Margurite Pearson; two brothers, Charles and William Fairburn; two sisters, Jennie Foster and Clara Turner; and one grandson.
Mrs. Seymour was a home-maker most of her life, but worked in a defense plant during World War II.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial at Bull Cemetery in rural Franklin. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where family will meet friends 5-7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Bull Cemetery Association.
