Frank Brockhouse
JACKSONVILLE - Frank Brockhouse, 79, died 4:50 p.m. at Passavant Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial in Chapin Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one brother Ray of Chapin; two sisters, Mrs. Idella Nergenah of Chapin and Mrs. Leona Perry of Jacksonville.
Ray Brockhouse of Chapin dies; set rites Sunday
Ray V. Brockhouse, 78, Chapin, died Thursday evening at Passavant Hospital. He was postmaster at Chapin until his retirement.
Mr. Brockhouse was born in Chapin April 16, 1900, son of Lewis and Ida Anderson Brockhouse. He married Alberta Quigg at Pittsfield January 18, 1919, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert, Chapin, and Ray, Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Leona Perry, Jacksonville, and Idella Nergenah, Chapin; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Williamson Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Stone officiating. Interment will be in Chapin Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Passavant Hospital.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Paul L. Brockhouse dies early Monday
Paul L. Brockhouse, 88, of 612 Congress Street in Chapin, died early Monday enroute to Passavant Hospital. He was born in Morgan County, Aug. 5, 1891, a son of William and Grace Wohlers Brockhouse.
His wife, the former Clarice Caywood, to whom he was married in 1919, survives with three children. Mary, wife of Glenn Stout, of Coal City; Glenoid, wife of Thomas Gregory of Denham Springs, LA., and Donald, at home, seven grand and seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Edna Daly of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Jr.
A farmer by occupation, he served during WW1 and was a member of WW1 Barracks #385.
The body was removed to the Williamson Funeral Home. Further arrangements will be announced later.
P. Brockhouse, Jr., died in Wyoming; remains to city
A former Jacksonville area resident, Paul Brockhouse, Jr. 57, died Sunday at Rock Springs, Wyo. He had been ill for two months.
Mr. Brockhouse is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brockhouse, and they survive at Chapin. Also surviving are his wife, Louise, and children, Joey and Teresa, both at home. Two sisters and a brother survive; Don of Chapin; Glenoid Gregory, Denham Springs, Louisiana; and Mary Stout, Coal City.
Before leaving this area Mr. Brockhouse operated a garage at Chapin. He was a member of the pipefitters local and a veteran of WW II.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Williamson Funeral Home. Reverend Leroy Hedrick officiating. Burial will be in Chapin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Thursday; the family will meet friends at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
