JACKSONVILLE
Mary Elizabeth Williams, 85, of Jacksonville, died Sunday evening, March 10,
2002, at Heritage Manor East in Beardstown.
She was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Springfield, the daughter of John Albert and Octavia Whitener Miller.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan (husband, John) Moseley of Sherman and Patricia (husband, Jerry) Cooper of Beardstown; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Miller and Michael Fox.
Mrs. Williams worked as a cook on a river barge for many years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery. Family will meet friends from 6-7:30 p.m. today at Williamson Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Heritage Manor East of Beardstown.
