Patterson.
Mrs. Katie Webster Patterson, wife of Austin B. Patterson, passed away at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the family home northwest of Jacksonville after a brief illness. Mrs. Patterson suffered a stoke of paralysis Thursday noon, and her condition was critical from that time.
The decedent was born in Chapin on March 28, 1874, a daughter of William and Sarah Stiltz Daniels. She was a member of the Ebenezer M. E. church, and a woman highly regarded by all who knew her.
Surviving are the husband and one son, Clyde Alvin Patterson; also one sister, Mrs. Mamie E. Daniels.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning at Ebenezer church, with burial in the church cemetery.
