DEATHERAGE, CLARA LEE

Jacksonville Journal, Jacksonville, Illinois, December 22, 1896

Miss Clara Lee Deatherage died at the home of her parents, H. H. and Elizabeth Deatherage, 662 North Caldwell street, Monday after a brief illness of typhoid fever. Miss Deatherage was 30 years old, a very estimable lady, with a large number of devoted friends. The family has been heavily afflicted, a son dying only a few weeks ago, and still another son, William, of the firm Deatherage & Boylan, being very ill of the same disease; at Waverly. The family has and deserves the sympathy of a large number of friends in their bereavement.

The remains will be taken to Waverly for burial on the 3 o'clock train this afternoon.
