John Spainhower, well known farmer of the Sulphur Springs neighborhood, passed away at 8:15 o'clock yesterday morning at his home. He had been in ill health for a number of weeks.

Mr. Spainhower was born in Morgan county and all of the years of his life have been spent in the county. Many years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Ellen Conlee. His wife and three children, Mrs. William Cox, of the Sulphur Springs neighborhood, Milton Spainhower of Jacksonville and John R. Spainhower of Lowder, survive. He also leaves two brothers, James of Woodson and Riley of this city and one sister, Mrs. Martha Hall, also of Jacksonville. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at Sulphur Springs Church with interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
