Waverly Journal, March 1913

Iven T. McMahon was born in Madison Co., Ill. in the year 1847. Departed this life March 7, 1913 at the age of 65 years, 6 months, and 7 days. He was united in marriage to Margaret King in the year 1874. To this union were born seven children, one dying in infancy. His wife; four daughters, Mrs. Riley Ealey of Hillsboro, Mrs. Monroe Camp of Virden, Mrs. James Ward of Waverly and Mrs. James Nichols of Lowder; two sons John and Ollie McMahon both of Waverly; one stepson Martin M. King of Niantic, and one brother Geroge L. McMahon, are left to mourn their loss.

In the year of 1894 he united with the Apple Creek Baptist church near Waverly.

Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Ward, March 9, 1913, Rev. E. J. Campbell officiating. Interment was in Turner Cemetery
