Mrs. Evelyn Gibson, of Los Angeles, Calif., died in that city last Sunday, Nov. 9 (1958) after suffering a heart attack. She was 61 years of age.
Deceased was the former Miss Evelyn Stagg, of New York City. In 1918 she was married to Truman Wood Gibson, who was the son of the late R. Y. Gibson of Waverly. Her husband preceded her in death in 1941.
Surviving are three sons, Earl, Ralph and Richard, all of Los Angeles; and two daughters, Mrs. Louise Reed of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Nancy Pering, of Kansas City, Kas.
The remains arrived Wednesday at the Neece Funeral Home in this city, where funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Ralph Fitch, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating.
During the service piano selections were played by Mrs. Ralph Fitch.
The pall bearers were the three sons of the deceased, Earl, Ralph and Richard Gibson, of Los Angeles; Larry Pering, of Kansas City; Gilbert Geesa, of Springfield and Russell Points of Waverly.
Burial was in Union cemetery, at Pisgah.
Those who arrived Wednesday to attend the funeral were Earl, Ralph and Richard Gibson and Mrs. Louise Reed, of Los Angeles; and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pering of Kansas City.
