Miss Pearl Roach was born May 12, 1880 in Rutledge, Granger county, Tennessee, and departed this life at the family home in Decatur, Ill., on May 16, 1923, being 43 years of age. She was the daughter of John Alex and Evelyn Fralix Roach, and was one of a family of nine children, one brother and three sisters preceding her in death.
She was united in marriage with Fred R. Gotschall August 21, 1912. To this union was born three children: Ethel May, Russell Jewel and Dorothy Izetta, the latter being dead.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and two children and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Henry Hillman, of Pisgah; Clay S. Roach, of Franklin; William Roach, of Beardstown; and Clyde Roach, of Alberta, Canada.
Funeral services were conducted from the Union Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member, at Pisgah Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. I. W. Williams. Music was furnished by the church choir. The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Jas. Wood, Mrs. William Cox, and Misses Bessie and Lillian Mosley.
Interment was made in the church cemetery. The bearers were D. K. Duke, Ross, Lloyd and Ivan Cox, Leonard Wood and Albert Curry.
