"Douge" Claussen of Murrayville dies; rites Wednesday
FRANKLIN - Gideon "Douge" Claussen, Jr., 57, of Murrayville died 3 a.m. Sunday, July 17, at Passavant Hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1925, near Murrayville, son of Gideon and Zelda Henry Claussen. He married Margaret Ball in 1945 and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Linda Claussen of Woodson, Diana Claussen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Lisa Claussen of B\Weatherford, Texas, and two sons, Barry Claussen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Gregory Claussen of Jacksonville.
There are seven grandchildren. Three sisters, Ilene Ryan of Waverly, Wilma Miskell of Springfield and Cora Smock of Manchester, also survive.
He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Mr. Claussen was a farmer all of his life.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Morgan County Heart Fund. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Neece Funeral Home in Franklin.
