Henry

John Henry died Saturday morning at 3 o'clock at the home of his son, Robert Henry, near Murrayville. Mr. Henry was 80 years of age and was born in Morgan county. He married Sarah Jane Edwards, December 14, 1855 and she passed away 20 years ago. He had only recently moved from Modesto to the home of his son. He was a veteran of the civil war being a member of the 101st Illinois Volunteer Infantry.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry were the parents of eleven children and the following survive: Sylvester of Macoupin county; Thomas of Murrayville; Robert, Mrs. Ida Arnold, Modesto; Mrs. Jane Arnold, Athens; Mrs. Martha Arnold, Oklahoma; John of Arkansas and Clarence of Modesto. He leaves one brother, William of Woodson, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Smith of Woodson.

The funeral will be conducted from the Youngblood Baptist church Monday morning at 11 o'clock in charge of Rev. Roy March.
