Dorothy Mae Jones

MURRAYVILLE - Dorothy Mae Jones, 49, of Nortonville died Friday, June 26, 1992, at Passavant Area Hospital.

She was born Dec. 4, 1942, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Walter and Florence Wingler McGath. She married Lawrence Jones on April 15, 1961, in Nortonville.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Terri Jones of Nortonville; one son, Larry Jones of Nortonville; three sisters, Corkie Oberst of Redding, Calif.; Laura Crawford of Beardstown, and Terri Reed of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and three brothers, Ed McGath of Jacksonville, Walter McGath Jr. of Sciota, and Robert McGath of Murrayville. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and Charles.

Mrs. Jones was a housewife. She was active in all Nortonville community activities.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Murrayville with burial at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Dorothy Jones Memorial Fund.
