MCNEELY, WILLIAM

McNeeley

Death came at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning to William McNeeley, a well known resident of Morgan county, at the family home two miles from Nortonville. The deceased had been ill for the past two months but it was only during recent days that his condition had been accounted as serious. Mr. McNeeley was sixty-nine years of age at the time of his death and had for many years resided in Nortonville precinct.

Forty years ago the deceased was united in marriage to Miss Mary Pribble, who survives him, together with three sons, Alonzo McNeeley, living southeast of Murrayville; Otis McNeeley of Nortonville, and Harlan McNeeley, residing south of Nortonville. He also leaves one brother Frank McNeeley, of Clinton, Mo.

The deceased was for many years engaged in farming operations, and it was only in recent years that he had retired from active life. He was a man of sterling qualities and had the good will and esteem of all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock this afternoon at the Nortonville church, in charge of Rev. Roy March. Interment will be in the Nortonville cemetery.
