Vivian Stowe, Former Local Resident, Dies
Vivian Stowe, formerly of Jacksonville, died Thursday afternoon in Miami, FL. She was born in Eldorada, KS, Oct. 14, 1880, a daughter of William and Sedarah Bobbitt DeSollar. She married Dr. Fred Stowe, May 5, 1908. He preceded her in death, 1933 {should read 5/5/1940 FL}. Survivors include three brothers, Frank DeSollar of Jacksonville, George W. DeSollar of Decatur and Elsa DeSollar of Beardstown. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stowe was a member of the Miami Shores Presbyterian church and a former member of Grace Methodist church in Jacksonville. Graveside services will be 10:30am Monday at Memorial Lawn cemetery with the Rev.Ronald Colton officiating. Friends may call anytime after 4pm Sunday at the Williamson Funeral Home.
