VIOLETT

Frances Matilda McGinnis, daughter of Richard and Mary Jane McGinnis, was born in Winchester, Ill., July 17th, 1856. She was married to Joseph Violett April 18th, 1875. To this union six children were born, three being now deceased. She became a christian at the age of fifteen in Walkerville, Ill., through the preaching of Elder J. H. Coats. About a year later she became identified with the congregation in Winchester and for forty years has been faithful and consistent in all christian acquirements.

She pased from this life April 7th, 1914 in East St. Louis leaving of immediate relatives, one daughter and two sons, an aged mother, three sisters and two grandchildren.

The funer services wre conducted from the home and the Christian church April 10th. Elders J. H. Coats and G. E. Prewitt officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Winchester cemetery.
