This is a photo of Archibald E. Northcut on the right and an unkown on the left. He may have been Archibald's brother John W. as he served in Co. B 50 Illinois Infantry as a private enlisting January 20, 1962. Archibald served in Co. F 33 Illinois Infantry as a private, enlisting August 1861 in Winchester and served until December 1865. He received a bannette wound to his right foot at Arcadia Mo. in December of 1861. Have a copy of his pension application but do not know if it was ever filed Archibard was born in Scott Co. in 1839, the son of Edward D. and Christiana Slagle Northcut. Edward also served in the Civil War He enlisted in Co. B, 10th Il. Regement from Bloomfield as a Private October 03, 1864 abd served for one year.
