Archibald "Archie" L. Fait, 93, of Lincoln died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at the Christian Village in Lincoln.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Paul Gilmore officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7 p.m.
Fait was a self-employed refrigeration contractor before his retirement.He was born Jan. 7, 1907, at Illiopolis, a son of Charles E. and Helen (Boyd) Fait. He married Frances Kinahan Nov. 30, 1929, at Danville.
Surviving are his wife, Frances, in Lincoln; two nephews; and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He was the last of his immediate family.He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Lincoln Lodge #210, York Rite Bodies - Springfield Consistory, Ansar Shrine, Refrigeration Service Engineer Society and United Commercial Travelers. He had attended Bradley University.
