Frances E. Fait, 95, of Lincoln died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at the Christian Village. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Paul Gilmore officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Lincoln. Eastern Star services will be at 5 p.m.
Mrs. Fait was a retired bookkeeper for Archie Fair Refrigeration and a former schoolteacher.She was born Jan. 13, 1906, in Lanesville to James and Cora Veatch Kinahan. She married Archibald "Archie" Fait on Nov. 30, 1929, in Danville. He died May 23, 2000.
Surviving are two nephews, Kinahan Rule of Illiopolis and Scott (and Linda) Fait of Eagle Point, Ore., and three nieces, Jean (and John) Belt of Naples, Fla., Pam (and Dick) Navarre of Grayslake and Jean Pearson of Barrington.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister. She was the last of her immediate family.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, a 75-year member of Eastern Star, Grand Lecturer of Order of the Eastern Star Emeritus, a member of Chester Women’s Club, Daughters of the Nile of Springfield and Daughters of the American Revolution.
