Mrs. Simmons was born in Illiopolis and was the daughter of Frank and Flora Roher Williams. She married William Simmons in 1935 and was a member of the Illiopolis Christian Church. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Surviving was her husband, William; one daughter, Mrs. Delmar (Joanne) Violet of Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Robert Williams of Illiopolis; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Nellie) Maddox of Niantic; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dawson-Wikoff Funeral Chapel, Illiopolis with the Rev. Dale A. Berck, officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis.
