Benjamin CRANE and Lucy RALE were married 17 Aug 1865 in Moultrie County, IL

James H. Crane was found in the 1860 Census living with Wm. B. and Melinda Crane, his possible parents. James was not found in the 1870 Census, Sangamon Co. although it appears he was in the area in 1871 and that he remarried per the tombstone of Lelah S. (Lillian S.) Crane in Wilcox, to M. M. ?.

1874 Atlas of Sangamon County IL lists W. B. CRANE as land owner in Sec. 6, T17R1, which is north of Illiopolis a mile or so.

Lucy CRANE died on 31 March 1899 and is buried in Stokes Cemetery at Bartlesville, OK. Benjamin CRANE died on 18 Jul 1917 in Ramona, OK. They are listed as coming to the area in abt 1875.
