According to information given at the beginning of this directory, the year which is
shown in the "In Co." column represents the year the owner/tenant listed in the "Name" column became a resident
of the county. In some cases, the year appears to be the year of the individual's
birth. However, despite information provided in the forward, I wonder if the year given, in some cases, mistakenly
indicates the year the family settled on this particular farm rather than the year of residency in the county.
In this volume, as is normally the case, there are mis-spelled names, so be sure to
check all possible spellings.
