RALPH B. FROST

This child of English parentage was born in Great Hucklow, Derbyshire, England, April 22, 1849. He grew to young manhood and was educated in that country. In 1864 the family sailed for this country and arrived in Winchester on the 6th day of May. He accepted a position as clerk in the drug store of Robert Frost and on the 7th day of May, the day following his arrival in Scott county, he assumed the duties of his new position and remained there for a number of years, working with Charles W. Ruark. He then moved to the farm where he now lives, which was formerly his father's homestead. Mr. Frost was married to Miss Caroline Burkhardt, January 23, 1884. Two children came to bless this union - Stella A. and Carrie. May 2, 1886, Mrs. Frost died. February 25, 1890, Mr. Frost was married to Miss Mary Nolley, at the home of the bride's parents. Thoroughly satisfied with the country; contented with his surroundings, Mr. Frost finds life in the land and country of his adoption a pleasure and a blessing.
