MITCHELL FAMILY CEMETERY
Scott County, Illinois
Located in Township 14 Range 13, NE 1/4 of Section 5, on a wooded hill 1/2 mile east of Route 100,
and 1/4 mile north of the new I-36. This land was purchased by Edward Mitchell in 1837.
This cemetery contains two obelisk stones and one additional stone - one of the obelisk stones has names on 4 sides and the other with names also on
4 sides - however the 2nd stone is on its side and is too heavy to turn over so this list only contains the
names from 3 of the sides.
