Mrs. Minnie Considine, 80, of bluffs, died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday at Passavant hospital where she had been a patient since Sept. 16.
The body was taken to Bates funeral home.
Mrs. Considine was born in Scott County Oct. 21, 1880, the daughter of George and Anna Kamphaus Meier. She was a graduate nurse of the Jacksonville State Hospital. She served in this capacity at the Soldier's and Sailor's Home in Quincy for many years.
She married James Considine in 1925 and they went to Los Angeles, Calif., to establish a residence. He passed away several years ago and is buried in a military cemetery in California.
Upon the death of her husband, Mrs. Cosidine returned to Bluffs to live with a niece, Mrs. Anna Vortman. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Egelhoff, of Pendleton, Ore. There are a number of surviving nieces and nephews of Morgan and Scott Counties plus several in Nebraska and California.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Neelyville Lutheran Church, Rev. James Hawley officiating. Interment will be made in the Neelyville Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. The remains are at the Bates Funeral Home where the family will meet friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
