Old Store Postally unused

In their book Moultrie County 1840-1863, Al and Anne Golden relate how, after a fire in 1908, this store -- the only brick structure in Cadwell-- was one of the few survivors. Owned at the time by Bob Martin, it passed through a succession of hands, those of Sherman Piper, Teague Ray, Elmer Bowers, and Will Osborn, before Ray and Imogene Fults became the longest tenured proprieters in 1939, remaining until 1956. The Fultses sold the store to Howard Seybert at that time, and it remained a country general store after he in turn sold it to Woody Wilson.
