MRS. MARTIN ZELLERS IS CALLED FROM LIFE
Esteemed Mother Taken After Sort Illness- Funeral Is Held at Brethren Church

Mrs. Martin Zellers, one of the best known and most beloved ladies of the Silver Creek community north of town, was summoned to the spirit world last Thursday afternoon about 4:00 o'clock after a illness of only a few days with plural pneumonia, preceeded by an attack of pleurisy. A most gracious Christian lady, she was the mother of a large family of boys, who with other relatives and a large circle of friends are saddened by her passing. Funeral Services were conducted at the local Church of the Brethren Saturday afternoon with Rev. F.E. McCune in charge. Interment was made at Silver Creek Cemetery, near which the deceased resided for many years. One of the largest funeral corteges in recent years attested to the esteem in which the deceased was held. Anna Mary Keedy was born near Keedysville, Md., Nov. 13, 1864 and passed away from this life on Jan. 2, 1930, aged 65 years, 1 month, and 20 days. She was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Keedy and one of a family of eight, all of whom with the exception of one brother and one sister, Frank Keedy and Mrs. Samuel Sprecher, both of Mount Morris, preceded her in death. She came west with her parents at the age of five years, spending the remainder of her life in tis vicinity. She was united in marriage to Martin H. Zellers, Dec. 23, 1885. To this union were born five sons: Edward of Joliet; Wilbur, Floyd, and Ernest of Leaf River, and Carl of Mount Morris, who, with the husband, nine grandchildren and a host of sorrowing friends are left to mourn her loss. One granddaughter, Anna, 12 years of age, left motherless in infancy, was reared in this home. She was a kind mother and a friend to everyone who knew her; a home loving woman, she was ever thoughtful of those most near and dear to her. She united with the Church of the Brethren a number of years ago, remaining steadfast in her faith to the end.
