I am trying to find any siblings of Sarah McGuirk McKinley, who was born in New York March 17, 1850 and died in the "Lick Skillet" community April 1882. She was said to be an orphan (probably an orphan train child). To date I have found no McGuirk connections in this area other than a Michael McGuirk in Champaign County--possibly a brother?. Sarah married Alexander McKinley, born Ohio 1833 and died 1915 at White Heath--in September 1869 at Monticello. Their children were Emma (Curry), Olive, William and John. Sarah was buried in the Old Monticello Cemetery in an unmarked grave.

LAWRENCE: Searching for any information or descendants of Robert LAWRENCE
and Martha CLINGON and/or Elizabeth LAWRENCE and William SMITH. I believe
Elizabeth and Robert to be the brother and sister of my gr-gr-grandfather
Isaac LAWRENCE. Isaac was reportedly born in Illinois, and lived either with
or alongside Robert and Martha for a number of years. Isaac was born ca 1835,
and married Sarah Yost, in Marion Co. Missouri in 1858. Sarah and Issac resided
in Ft Scott during and after the civil war, and he served in 2nd Kansas Battery
alongside Robert. Robert evidently moved back to Atwood, where Elizabeth lived,
and Isaac went on to go missing, leaving his wife and children behind. Any
information on this family would be greatly appreciate. I've been trying to
crack this case for almost 15 years. Elizabeth/William, Robert/Martha are
all interred in Macville Cemetery, Unity Township. Thank you.

Joseph HUBBARD was born 1844 in Pike County, IL and moved to Piatt County
after the Civil War. He married Sarah Permelia Johnston in 1866 in Logan County.
They lived in or near Mansfield, Piatt, IL for the balance of their lives.
After Sarah died, Joseph married Elizabeth Johnston. Joseph died in Eureka
Springs, Arkansas in 1906. Elizabeth died in Los Angeles, California. On both

My great grandfather was John McConnell, born June 4, 1870 in Rush County,
Indiana. He was the son of Nathaniel and Mary (McMillan) McConnell and he
married Bertha Stout in May of 1900 in Piatt County, Il. John died in August
of 1915 in Atwood, Il and was evidently buried in Atwood Cemetery in Ivesdale,
Il I believe. I guess his death was in Piatt County, Il, but will be sending
for a death certificate to verify this. Would like to locate any cousins of

Bertha Stout later married Timothy Carmon Stark in Decatur, Il, the son of
John and Elizabeth (Shanks) Stark. Bertha Stout was the daughter of Daniel
and Fannie (Kingery) Stout. The Kingery's married into the Byrd Family of

I am looking for any information on Warren LONGSTRETH. He was the first electrician
in Mansfield, IL. I am not sure on the date of birth, but it should be between
1880 and 1895. Warren LONGSTRETH married Pearl KENNEDY, who was born in 1898.
They moved to Argos, IN at a later date where Warren became a farmer in that
town. I also would like any information on the KENNEDY family in Piatt Co.

First married to Mary WRIGHT in IN. One of their children was Sarah Priscilla,

I am looking for information on Aaron Yost who married Caroline Colvig in
Ohio in 1849. It is believed that they had their children in Piatt Co. as
the daughter, Mary L. Yost, was born in Piatt Co. in 1859. It is also known
that Aaron was a Civil War veteran from Piatt Co. Can anyone shed any light

Am looking for informaiton on a Prudence Washburn who was born after 1800
in Halifax, VA. She was supposedly engaged to Isaac E Funk about 1817 in Fayette,
OH. When he took advantage of her, she broke the engagment and refused to
have anything more to do with him. When a child was born, she supposedly refused
to have anything to do with the child, James, as well. Other stories say that
Isaac took the child after her death ... most probably around 1822. She is
buried in Yeasey Cemeter in Fayette, OH. working note: Samuel Washburn received
land patents in early 1824 NEN1/2, sec 20, T4N R5E of 1st Principal Meridian
Accession # OH0590-157 and W1/2SW sec 29 T4N R19W of Ohio River Survey Accession#
0H0170-368 ... He may or may not be a relative. There was also (at one time)
some reference to her family having moved to Piatt County IL ... mostly I
got the impressioin ... because James went there once.

from abt 1876 to 1890. Then they moved to Texas to Wise County. William A.
Nelson was born in Aurora,Illinois Kane County on Feb. 10 ,1847. Mary Elizabeth
Rardin Nelson was born in WayneCounty Iowa Oct. 8, 1856. They married in Douglas
County on June 4, 1876. William died in Wise County Texas on Mar 21, 1909.

The 1910 census for Palmer, Christian County, Illinois, lists Charles CRONICKER
(CRONIGER/CRONICKER), age 7, as a nephew living with Isaac Nelson ODLE and
Virginia (BATES) ODLE. Charlie filed a birth certificate for himself in 1952
listing Nelson and Jenny Odle as his parents, though he knew they were not
his natural parents. On the birth certificate he gave his birth year as 1901.
However, the 1910 and 1920 census data both calculate his birth as being in
1903. The CRONIGERs are believed to have lived in Macoupin County early in
the 1900s and may be connected to the CRONINGERs/GRANACHERs of Piatt Co. in
the 1800s, but I have found no connection yet. Please help me find the CRONIGERs
who were Grandpa Charlie's natural parents.
