November 14, 2009, the Lake County Illinois Genealogical Society will be presenting their 17th Annual workshop at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, located at
2007 Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach, IL. Elissa Scalise Powell, a nationally renowned speaker will give four presentations: "Hiding Behind Their Skirts: Finding Women in Records"; "Sailing Into the Sunset:
Tips for Finding Your Ancestors on passenger Lists"; "Thinking Outside the Index: Advanced Search Techniques"; and Rubik's Cube Genealogy: A New Twist on Your Old Data". Information on additional sessions and about the workshop may
