Contributing to the ISGS Quarterly:
Interested individuals are encouraged to submit articles appropriate to the focus and format of the Quarterly. Articles of interest may include genealogy and family histories for families of Illinois, Illinois research or general topics in genealogy. Article length should be between six and sixteen pages. While the Quarterly solicits only original works, revised or updated articles, or articles based on lectures, are welcome.
We also welcome photographs, in jpeg format, to accompany articles. Photographs must be sent via email and must include source information.
Articles are to be submitted digitally as files attached to E-mail notes. The preferred format is Microsoft Word, but almost any popular format will probably be acceptable.
Sources must be referenced in the document to be considered for publication.
A short (3-5 line) biography of the contributor should be included in the e-mail with the article attachment.
Copyright to submitted material remains with the compiler, not ISGS or the Quarterly. Send articles to Quarterly Editor: Oriene Springstroh - please put "ISGS" in the subject line of your email. For Questions about submissions: e-mail to Oriene Springstroh. Hardcopy submissions can be sent to the ISGS Office.

There is a $5.00 charge for each query submitted for publication by non-members of ISGS. Send typed queries your snail-mail address to: The Illinois State Genealogical Society, Query Editor, P.O.
