Feb. 26th, 1965.   Will filed, and on March 8th, 1965, duly probated and admitted to record.

 

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

 

            I, Harry L. Keene, of the Village of Shabbona, County of DeKalb and the state of Illinois, being of lawful age and sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my Last will and Testament, hereby expressly revoking all former wills and codicils to wills heretofore made by me.

            1.  I direct that my executors, hereinafter named, pay all of my just debts and expenses.

            2.  I give and bequeath to my son, Paul Merritt Keene, all my veterinary equipment and drugs and my business car.

3.  I give and bequeath to my son, Paul Merritt Keene, my walnut table, my walnut secretary, and my walnut desk and chair.

            4.  I give and bequeath to my wife, Marcia M. Keene, the sum of five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).

            5.  I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary Jane Keene, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).

6.  All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, of whatever kind and nature and wherever situate, I give bequeath and devise to the following named persons and in the following stated proportions, viz.:

            To my wife, Marcia M. Keene, one-third of said residue and remainder, and to my son, Paul Merritt Keene, two-thirds of said residue and remainder.

            7.  I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Don. M. Flewellin, Otto E. Schmidt and my son, Paul Merritt Keene, all of the Village of Shabbona, Illinois, executors of this my last will and testament, and request the judge of probate not to require of them any bonds.

            8.  It is my wish and desire that after the period of probate has expired that my executors, Don M. Flewellin and Otto E. Schmidt will act as business and financial advisors to my son, Paul, and will assist him in setting up in business for himself; and I earnestly request that Paul follow their advice in all business and financial matters for a period of at least two years, until he has acquired some experience of his own.  I request and advise him to seek the advice of Mr. Flewellin and Mr. Schmidt before he makes any investment if any kind within two years after he receives the bequests given him under this will.

            In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this 2nd day of August, 1941 A D.
