Tinley Park Public Library 7851 Timber Drive Tinley Park, IL 60477 The Tinley Moraine Genealogists meet at the Tinley Park Public Library, a two-story red brick building located one-half block east of 80th Avenue, and just south of the 80th Avenue Metra train station. The library is only one block north of the nearest major east-west street, 183rd Street. From the North: Take Harlem Avenue south to 171st Street. Turn right and follow 171st Street west to 80th Avenue (approximately one mile). Turn left and follow 80th Avenue south about 2 miles, past the lighted intersection at 175th Street. Get in the left lane, and as soon as you cross over the Metra railroad tracks, turn left on Timber Drive toward the library. From the South: Take Harlem Avenue north to 183rd Street. Turn left and follow 183rd Street west to 80th Avenue (approximately one mile). Turn right, and drive approximately one block north. Just before crossing the Metra railroad tracks, turn right (east) on Timber Drive toward the library. From the Tri-State (I-294) or from I-80: Take the I-294 toll road south to westbound I-80. Drive five miles west to the Harlem Avenue northbound exit. Go one-quarter mile north, then turn left on 183rd Street. Drive west to 80th Avenue (approximately one mile). Turn right, and drive approximately one block north. Just before crossing the Metra railroad tracks, turn right (east) on Timber Drive toward the library. Click here for a map from Mapquest.com.
