Catlin Historical Society - great site for Catlin, Catlin Township and Vermilion County information

Danville Public Library, Archives Department, 319 N Vermilion, Danville, IL 61832, 217-477-5228.  The library has the greatest volume of microfilm around, and microfitch. They also have family surname files and thousands of reference books.

Illiana Genealogical and Historical Society PO Box 207, Danville, IL 61832 217-431-8733, email.   They have marriage, birth and death records, microfilm, obituaries indexed, and thousands of reference books including Danville city directories for most years, and thousands of family ancestor charts - an excellent place to begin and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful!

Rossville Historical Society (no internet link) 103 W Attica, Rossville, IL 60963, 217-748-4080. They have marriages in alpha order, deaths in alpha order and excellent books they have printed and the staff is more than helpful with queries!  Email address roshisoc@soltec.net

Hoopeston Library Hoopeston has a wonderful public library with micro-films of the town paper (The Chronicle Herald) dating back to the late 1800's or early 1900's. It also has a link to a list of other libraries in the area.
