October 22, 2011- Fall District Meeting in Altamont
November 5, 2011- Brian Ridge, high school History teacher, will talk about the War of 1812. We will meet at the church.
December 3 - "Home Health Care" by Barbara Tackitt. Bring a white elephant to be auctioned, with proceeds being used to pay for the new stone plaque at the statue.
No meetings in January and February
March 3 - Presentation of awards and gifts to Good Citizen winners from our area schools by Eunice Golden, chairman. "Kate Duncan Smith DAR School" by Judy Mearns. Pizza party following the meeting.
April 14, 2012 - "Illinois Indian Tribes" by Rebecca Dougherty, American Indian Chairman.
April 27-29, 2012 - State Conference in Springfield.
May 5, 2012 - "Three Words - Membership in DAR" by Lola DeGroff, District VI Director. Luncheon will follow meeting.
June 2, 2012 - Program by Jerry Williams, Flag Chairman. Election of Officers.
June 27-July 1, 2012 - Continental Congress
July 7, 2012 - Memorial Service for deceased members by Sally Schofield, Chaplain. Installation of new officers. Recap of previous year and discussion of upcoming year's programs.
