PROPERTY TAX RECORDS
The Winnebago County Clerk has microfilmed tax records from 1922
to the present.
Records prior to 1922 were destroyed.
The records are not open to the public. The clerks must access
them for you.
There are no indexes, so you must have the legal description of
the property and the year.
The legal property description and year may be researched in the Recorder of Deeds office.
There is a $2.00 search fee per year/per property code.
