Boone County Photo Gallery ~ U-Z
I love old family photographs, they are one of my most
cherished items! Having the ability of being able to connect
a face to our written genealogy brings real life to the
pages. I hope you will discover a photograph of your
ancestor in this gallery, and I also hope you will share
your old family photographs with us. Use the
Submit Data link on
the top of the page to send copies of your photos. Any old photographs with a Boone County
connection are welcome ... individuals, buildings, houses,
geographical locations, cemeteries, gravestones, etc. The
only requirement is that we do not post photographs of
living individuals without their consent, and usually only
photographs of individuals taken more than fifty years ago,
and thus of more genealogical interest.

West Family
Reunion - 1916 Written
on the reverse in my grandmother's hand, "West
Family Reunion at 'Old West Farm', Whitestown, Boone
County, Indiana." It was held August 3, 1916 on
the farm of the late Samuel & Susannah (Evans)
West. This is likely, due to the ages of the
children, a photograph of great-grandchildren of
Samuel & Susannah (Evans) West,
descendants of their 11, out of 12, children who
reached maturity, namely; Willis, Jonathan, Martha,
Rosella, Sarah Margaret, Mary Etta, Samuel, Charles,
Susannah, Albert and Harvey West. Related
surnames these children might have: West,
Mills, Mellette, Moore,
Morrison, Mund, Wilson,
Shelburne, Orr, Clingler,
Hickson, Neidlinger, Carr,
Baber, Shook, Feurt, Lunn
and more. These children were probably all born from
the eldest in the late 1890's to the youngest about
1916.
Identified:
(2) Robert Morrison, (13) John Morrison,
(22) Frances Morrison, (23) Mary Morrison
- all children of Manford and Mae (Carr)
Morrison.

Mollie Maude
White "This is a
portrait of Mollie Maude White, b. 5 Apr 1880
in Shannondale, Boone County, Indiana and is a
tintype. She was the daughter of John White &
Elizabeth Rebecca Spencer. Mollie married
John Malcalm Harlow, 20 Nov 1897 in
Thorntown, Boone County, Indiana. She was my
paternal great-grandmother."
"This is a copy of a very large
portrait. The original is in the hands of a cousin."
