My grandmother, Ethel Gertrude Miller Neidlinger, often told stories of my ancestors. She would tell me how my grandfather, Lon Neidlinger, my uncle Jim Neidlinger and my father Bud Geiser, would go to the cemetery and keep it up. She told me that approximately 100 people were buried there. She also told me that at one time there was an arch at one end of the cemetery with gates that would not close, symbolizing the “GATES AJAR”. The cemetery is located on property that once belonged to the Neidlinger family, other people are buried there. It is located about ˝ mile off Harmony Road just south of I - 70, next to a coal mine. It is in Jackson Township, Clay county, Indiana. I’m not sure who keeps up the cemetery now, however that graves are starting to sink, which I think may be due to the mining. Some of the markers are rather tall and age has taken a toll on the older markers. Of those I was able to identify are the following: Mary A. Diel daughter of D. & R. L.
