Aged Couple Pass Away At Home Near Fort Wayne

    Mrs. Susan Blume, aged 79 years, mother of Mr. Earl Eakright of Butler, wife of Mr. Martin Blume, who resided north of Fort Wayne on the St. Joe road, died Monday morning after a brief illness of pneumonia.  Just 26 hours later the husband passed away with the same disease, also of a short illness.  Double funeral services will be held from the Blume home Friday at 12:30.  The body of Mrs. Blume, which was brought to the Johnson and Son funeral home and prepared for burial, was taken to the Blume home for the services.  It was then returned to the Mount Pleasant cemetery southwest of Butler for burial.
    The body of Mr. Blume was buried in the Bowers cemetery in Allen county, the Oetting funeral service of Harlan in charge.  It was the second marriage for wach of the deceased but they had spent many happy years together, enjoying the respect of everyone who knew them.
    Mrs. Blume leaves the son, Mr. Earl Eakright, a sister Mrs. Fred Keller, both of Butler, and the grandson, Master Richard Ealkright.
    Mr. Blume was 87 years of age, and leaves three daughters, five sons, and 17 grandchildren.    <>
<>    Before her marriage to Mr. Blume.  Mrs. Blume was a resident of Butler for many years, and she leaves many friends and acquaintances who hold her in high regard.
