Joel Brand, of Smithfield, died at his residence in the south-west part of that township, at an early hour on Tuesday morning, the 27^th instant.  Mr. Brand had been sick only a short time, his disease being pneumonia, or lung fever.  He leaves a wife and family, the children all being grown up to manhood and womanhood.
