SERVICES FOR JAMES O. COPELAND HELD ON WED. Funeral Services for James Oran Copeland, 86, father of William Copeland, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson funeral home in Butler.  The Rev. Dwight McClure, pastor of the First EB church in Butler, officiated at the services and burial followed in the Waterloo Cemetery.  Mr. Copeland died at the Sheehy Nursing home in Butler at 2 a.m. Monday from complication of advanced age.  He had been a resident of the nursing home for 20 years and became ill several months ago.  Before moving to the nursing home, Mr. Copeland resided on Rt. 1 Butler, for a number of years. He was a retired New York Central railroad employee.  He was born at Bryan O., on Dec. 19, 1874, and was the son of the late William and Mary McCafferty Copeland.  His wife, Mrs. Viola Copeland preceded him in death.  Other survivors include two other sons, Lester Copeland of Ann Arbor, Mich., and James Copeland Jr., of New Richmond, Ind.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a brother Bert Copeland of Coldwater, Mich.
