Carl and Georgia Dennison and Ann Young are killed in head-on crash in Tennessee

Three well-known Auburn residents were killed outright in a head-on collision on U.S. 231 near the Wilson-Rutherford County line Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. near Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
A Canadian woman in the other car, Dorothy Davis, 60, of Winnepeg, Man., died several hours later.
Carl Dennison, 63, his wife, Georgia, 62, of 217 Iwo street Auburn, and Ann M. Young, 66 of 403 ˝ South Main Street, Auburn, were pronounced dead at the Rutherford County hospital in Murfreesboro.
Stanley E. Davis, 61, was reported to be in good condition at the hospital. He reportedly suffered a fractured hip in the accident.
The Auburn residents had left home early Wednesday morning and were on their way to Florida for a vacation.
Mrs. Anna Mae Hooker of 1310 South Jackson street, Auburn, had originally planned to accompany the group on the trip south, but changed her mind when her grandchildren came to visit. 
Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Dennison will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dilgard and Cline funeral home in Auburn with the Rev. George Schuette, pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran church, officiating.
Mr. Dennison was born Feb. 11, 1906, to Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Dennison was born in Auburn on March 29, 1907 to Bert and Nettie Olinger Lockwood.  He was retired from the Rieke Corporation in Auburn, while Mrs. Dennison worked as the bookkeeper for Dilgard and Cline Furniture Store.  The couple had no children. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fred Achel of Dubuque, Iowa, and she is survived by a brother, Mr. Dale Lockwood of Rt. 2, Auburn. Mr. Dennison was a member of the Auburn Elks lodge, Mrs. Dennison was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church and the Business and Professional Women’s club in Auburn.
Mrs. Young was an employee of the Messenger Corporation in Auburn. She was married to Robert Young, who died Nov. 19, 1966.
She is survived by a son, William, of West Palm Beach, Florida, a daughter, Mrs. Tom Reichard of St. Louis, Mo., and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Young are incomplete. It is expected that the body will be taken to Springfield, Ohio, on Saturday.
Friends of all three victims may call at the Dilgard and Cline funeral home after noon Friday.
