     Miss Belle DePew, a Clerk in Schaab & Bro. Co.
 Store for 20 years.  Passes Away at the age of 76 years.
Miss Florence Belle DePew, 76, of two miles north of Garrett, died Sunday at 6:40 a.m. in the Brouse convalescent home east of Butler, where she had been a patient three years.  She suffered a stroke of paralysis three years ago and another light stroke Sunday, Nov. 11.
     The body was brought to the Geo. W.. Her mortuary in Garrett.  It was taken Monday afternoon to the home of a nephew, Sam Cook of two miles north of Garrett, where services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. followed by rites at 1:30 p.m. in Christian Union church, northwest of Garrett.  The Rev. E. C. Thomas of Goshen will officiate and burial will follow in Union cemetery, northwest of Garrett.
     Miss DePew was born Jan. 10, 1875, on a farm four miles northwest of Garrett,
A daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Samuel DePew.  She later lived with her parents in Auburn and was a clerk for Schaab & Brother Co. for 20 years.  When her parents died she moved to Cleveland, where she was a clerk in a store for 20 years.  She returned eight years ago to reside two miles north of Garrett.
     Surviving besides the nephew are a brother, Perry DePew of 900 West King street, Garrett, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Cook of two miles north of Garrett.
