George Lester Firestone, a native of Butler, died Friday at his home in Temperance, Michigan.  He was 82.
     He was born February 22, 1892, to Joseph and Linnie (Wagner) Firestone.  He married Helen Curren, June 20, 1921, in Norwalk, Ohio.
     Mr. Firestone retired from the Toledo Scales Company in 1957.
     Surviving is the widow.
     Services were held in the Johnson Funeral Home with Reverend Steven Archer, pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Butler, presiding.  Burial was in the Hamilton cemetery.
