MRS. DELLA ANN HANES, AGE 74, DIES FROM PARALYSIS
Lifelong Resident of Jackson Township Passed Away at
Butler after Four Months Illness.
Mrs. Della Ann Hanes, 74, of Jackson township, passed
away at 6:45 a.m. Monday at the Brouse Nursing Home at Butler from paralysis.
Mrs. Hanes had been ill since the middle of June and had been under treatment
in an Auburn hospital for eight weeks before being taken to the nursing home.
She was born on June 20, 1876 to James and Elizabeth
McClellan of Jackson Township and had spent her entire lifetime in that township.
Before becoming ill she had resided with her son, George Hanes, and family
four miles southeast of Auburn.
Mrs. Hanes was married in 1892 to the late Lawrence Hanes, a farmer, who
passed away two years ago. She is survived by the son and a brother, William
McClellan of Bluffton; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild and several
nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Dilgard & Cline funeral
home for burial preparations and will remain there for funeral rites at 2
p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. C. W. Fiscus, pastor of the Auburn Church of God
of which she was a member, will officiate at the services and burial will
be in Roselawn cemetery in Auburn.
