Deceased was Brother of George and
Cecil Harwood of Auburn
Albert Winslow Harwood, town clerk of Altona, passed
away at his home Tuesday (Aug 2., 1926) evening at 10:35 after an
illness of ten years from complications. He had been bedfast for
the past two weeks.
Mr. Harwood was born on a farm near Butler on Nov. 20,
1864, and was a resident of Altona for thirty years. He was
formerly a car inspector for the Baltimore and Ohio, but on account of
poor health has not worked for ten years.
He was married in Allen county on Nov. 14, 1903, to Miss
Elizabeth Deltzer. She died on April 5, 1925. Surviving are
one son, Harry Harwood of Cincinnati, and a grandson, Edward Harwood,
also of Cincinnati, the aged mother, Mrs. Julia Harwood, two sisters,
Mrs. Fred Pifer and Mrs. Ray Treman, all of Butler, and two brothers
George and Cecil Harwood of Auburn.
Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon at
2 o'clock, with the Rev. H. C. Odell, pastor of the Garrett Baptist
church officiating and interment was made in the cemetery at Butler.
