MRS. PRECIOUS KEEREN

   Mrs. Precious Keeran, was born in Hampshire county, West Virginia, December 26th, 1815; removed to the State of Ohio in 1823; united with the Baptist church at Greenville Licking county Ohio, in 1835; was married to John Keeran, December, 25th, 1840; emigrated to Indiana in May, 1848, and settled in Butler township this county, where she remained until her death.  Her church not being represented; she united with the Episcopal Methodist shortly after her removal to this State where she lived an exemplary member.  She was a devoted wife and kind mother.  She was the mother of ten children, eight of whom are now living and surrounded her death bed at her death, which occurred March 20th, 1877, aged 61 years, 2 months and 24 days.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. P. Jones at Cedar Creek Chapel, March 22d.
